Biography
Pedro Miro joined Cepsa in 1976 and has since developed his professional career in various areas of the Group. He has been responsible for Cepsa's Corporate Research Center for over 10 years, and Director of Technology. In 2004 he was appointed Director of Exploration and Production of the Company. In April 2009, he took over the Cepsa Technical General Management, taking responsibility for the Group's Refining and Electricity activities and several corporate areas, including HSEPA.CAL (Health, Safety and Environment) and the Technology Department. Since that date, he is a member of the Cepsa Management Committee. Pedro Miró, as Cepsa's representative, was President of Medgaz, one of the most important and emblematic projects of the gas sector in recent years, from its initiation in 2000 to its launch in March 2011. Also representing Cepsa, he has been a member of the Councils of several subsidiaries of the Group: President of Asesa, Detisa and Gepesa, Cepsa Gas Comercializadora, Cepsa Química, Cepsa Química Canadá and Detén. He was also a member of the Council of CLH (Hydrocarbons Logistics Company), Vice President of Europia (European Petroleum Industry Association), Councilor of Concawe , Vice President of AOP (Association of Petroleum Operators) and Founding Patron of Corporación Tecnológica de Andalucía. In 2011 he is appointed member of the Board of Directors and of the Executive Committee of Cepsa. In September 2013 he was appointed Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. In July 2016 he was appointed President of the Board of Trustees of the new Cepsa Foundation . Pedro Miró actively participates in several Associations. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Princesa de Asturias Foundation , as well as a Member of the Board of FUNSEAM (Foundation for Energy and Environmental Sustainability).
