Suhail Mohamed Faraj Al Mazrouei

Biography

 HE Mr. Suhail Mohamed Faraj Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) since March 2013, was appointed Administrator and Managing Director of the International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC) in April 2015 and Counselor of the Mubadala Investment Company in January 2017. He has held a number of senior positions in the public sector, with numerous achievements at the service of his country, as well as in the private sector. He is Deputy Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Business Development at Mubadala Petroleum and Director of Production and Engineering and later CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) until 2007. SE Al Mazrouei also worked during 2004-2005 at Shell Global in the Netherlands, participating in several prominent E & P projects in Nigeria, the North Sea, Brunei and the Netherlands. He is currently Chairman of the Boards of the Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA), Mubadala Petroleum Co and Emirates Liquefied Gas Co; Member of the Advisory Committee of the Supreme Petroleum Council; Member of the Boards of Petroleum Development Co and Dolphin Energy Co; and Member of the ADNOC Audit Committee. SE Al Mazrouei completed his undergraduate studies in 1996, graduating in Oil and Gas Engineering from the University of Tulsa (USA).
