Biography
Pedro Fernández Puentes graduated in Chemistry from the University of Santiago de Compostela. Between 1965 and 1971, Mr. Fernández Puentes worked as Head of the new product development lab at Cooper Zeltia, S.A., and became Chairman of that company until it was demerged into Zelnova, S.A. y Cooper Zeltia Veterinaria, S.A. He was Chairman of Xylazel, S.A. from 1995 to 1997. As for directorships, he was a member of the Board of Directors of ICI Farma, S.A., ICI-Zeltia, S.A., Corporación Noroeste, S.A. and their main subsidiaries for approximately 20 years; he was director of Zeltia from 1971 onwards. He is currently Chairman of Zelnova, S.A. and a director and Vice-Chairman of PharmaMar.
