Agustín España Alonso

Biography

    Graduated in Medicine by the Autonomous University of Madrid in 1984. Specialist in Dermatology by the Ramón y Cajal Hospital of Madrid (1986-1989). Doctor of Medicine from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (1990).   Clinical Research Fellow in Immunodermatology, Department of Dermatology, Medical College of Wisconsin, USA, 1994-1995 Research Areas Member of the Editorial Committee (Advisory Board) of the PIEL Magazine and the Editorial Board of the Actas Dermo-Sifiliográficas Magazine. He has done 6 Research Projects as Principal Investigator, 2 Research Projects as Collaborator and 6 Research Protocols.   ACTIVITY   As a teacher Professor of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra since September 1, 2014.   Accredited as University Professor by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport on July 18, 2013.   Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra in 2003.   He has conducted 6 doctoral theses. As researcher He has presented more than 250 papers and communications to National Congresses and more than 50 International Congresses.    He is editor of 5 books and author 33 chapters of books.    He has published 80 articles in international journals and more than 75 in national journals.

 His main areas of interest are centered in the study, diagnosis and interdisciplinary treatment of: Autoimmune bullous diseases (pemphigus vulgaris, pemphigus foliaceus, bullous pemphigoid, pemphigoid gestationis) Atopic dermatitis Connectivopathies (lupus erythematosus, dermatomyositis, scleroderma) Hyperhidrosis Inflammatory skin diseases of immunological origin
