Biography

    Graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra in 1980.   Specialist in Phoniatrics and Audiology (1986) by the Faculty of Medicine of Besancon (France).   Audioprotesist Technician by the Professional School of Clot (Barcelona), 1988.   Collaborator of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of the University of Navarra Clinic and coordinator of the Cochlear Implants Program of the Audiology Area. Research Areas Lines of investigation: Cochlear Implants, Bone Conduction Implants, Active Middle Ear Implants, and Brainstem Implants for the stimulation of the auditory pathway. Telemedicine and hearing. He participates or has participated as research member in 9 projects and as principal investigator in 7 projects.   ACTIVITY   As a teacher Teacher of the Master in Expert in Audiology. OnLine-Presencial Title. University of Salamanca. November 2006-until today.   Teacher of the Master in Educational and Psychological Intervention. Faculty Philosophy and Letters University of Navarra. From 2007-2008 to the present. As researcher Author of 5 books author-editor:   Audiology. Official Paper of the Spanish Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervical-Facial Pathology. 2014.   Manual of Rehabilitation of adults with HF (Manual for professionals).   Manual for the implant. Rehabilitation of the Cochlear Implant.   Multilingual Dictionary of Otolaryngology and Cochlear Implants.   Cochlear Implant Rehabilitation Guide for Children.   He has published 40 chapters of books and more than 40 articles in national and international magazines. He has participated as speaker in more than 80 international congresses and more than 40 national ones.   The following publications stand out:   Protocol for the evaluation of hearing and language, in Spanish, in a program of Cochlear Implants. Minutes ORK 1996. Publications made in collaboration with Ear Foundation:   Cochlear implants in the first years of life: the first steps (2006).
