Biography
Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery by Faculty of Medicine. Complutense University of Madrid the 26 of August of 1992. Doctor of Medicine and Surgery by Faculty of Medicine. Autonomous University of Madrid the 17 of July of 1995. Director of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the University of Navarra Clinic since 2008. Research Areas Research topics have followed two main lines: the first on the investigation of peripheral nerve regeneration through auto and nerve allografts using the experimental model rat and primate, and the second on the use of the TGF- B1 (p144) both in the formation of periprosthetic capsules and in the involvement in the regeneration of the peripheral nerve. As a result of these research projects, I have published 59 articles in international journals in the field of surgery (all with impact index: first quartile 48%, first or last signer 97%); Index-HWeb the Science: 14; H-Scopus Index: 17; average citations Spanish bibliometric map: MB04: 5.23), ACTIVITY As a teacher In 1999 I was hired as an assistant physician to the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and as an associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine until 2003, when I was appointed adjunct professor, and later in 2004 I obtained accreditation as a professor contracted doctor by the ANECA so I was hired as a teacher contracted doctor in the same faculty. I passed the first exercise during the oppositions to titular professor of surgery (90/2005) held in Santiago de Compostela in 2007 and I was accredited as Professor of surgery by the ANECA in 2008 obtaining the appointment as Professor Professor of Surgery of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra. On May 28, 2014, I was accredited as Professor of the Surgery Area. As researcher 59 international and 135 national publications. 25 articles in books. He has participated as guest lecturer in 17 international congresses.

Reconstruction facial paralysis and microsurgery. Breast reconstruction. Head and neck reconstruction and limbs. Facial and corporal cosmetic surgery. Vascular malformations.
