Biography

Graduated (2008) and Doctor (2013) in Medicine by the University of Navarra. Specialist in Radiation Oncology (2013, Clínica Universidad de Navarra)   International Master's Degree in Molecular Oncology, ninth edition, taught by CNIO (National Cancer Research Center, 2013 to 2015).   In 2015 I completed the Immunoncology Own Title sponsored by CUN and Bristol Myers Squibb. Becoming part of the teaching staff in 2016.   In 2016 I was entrusted, by the Spanish Society of Radiological Oncology (SEOR), the co-direction of the Immunoradiation Group within the said Society.   Currently, I work as an associate translational researcher in the Immunology and Gene Therapy laboratory at the Center for Applied Medical Research, with a partial dedication to clinical assistance in the I-II clinical trials unit of the CUN Oncology Department. sub-investigator in phase I / II immunotherapy and principal investigator of trials where new immunotherapy drugs are combined with radiotherapy for various tumor sites. Research Areas In the last four years I have been trained as a translational researcher in the field of antitumor immunotherapy as a specialist in Radiation Oncology. I have focused on the study of the interactions between Radiation and Immune System, making pioneering observations in experimental mouse models on the abscopal effect of radiotherapy, describing the mechanisms by which the radiotherapy-enhanced immune system is able to eliminate tumor lesions outside the radiation field (data published in Cancer Research). As a result of this work, I have been invited as a speaker to international meetings becoming a national reference for immunoradiotherapy. I have collaborated in many national and international research projects.   ACTIVITY   As a teacher Associate professor doctor in the Department of Oncology of the Faculty of Medicine.   Professor of the Immunology Department of the University of Navarra (CUN / BMS).
