Biography

  Bachelor (1990) in Medicine and Surgery at the University of the Basque Country and Doctor (1999) in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Navarra. Specialist in Urology by the Clinic University of Navarra in the years 1995-99.   He has held training stays in the Urology Department of the University of Miami (USA, 1999) with the "Urology & Teaching" Scholarship, University of Strasbourg (France, 2003-2004) Diplôme D'Université de Chirurgie Laparoscopique and the Center for Surgery Minimally Invasive and the University of Cáceres (2005) with the Spanish Association of Urology Grant.   Head of Urology Section at Hospital de Manacor de Mallorca (2007-2012). Creator of the Unit of Advanced Urological Laparoscopy (UNILAURO) in the Balearic Islands.   Introduction of the laparoscopic urological program in public and private clinical practice: Nephrectomy (2004), Prostatectomy and adrenal gland (2005), Cystectomy and partial nephrectomy (2006) and LESS nephrectomy (2010).    Diploma of management training for Robot "Da Vinci" (2013)   Research Areas Principal investigator in a clinical trial and co-investigator in 11 in prostatic hypertrophy, overactive bladder, prostate cancer and surgical techniques.   ACTIVITY   As a teacher Professor Urology (subject of Andrology) University of Navarra (course 2013-2014).   Adviser students Faculty of Medicine University of Navarra.   Collaborator in the postgraduate training (residents of Urology) of the Urology Department. As researcher Various publications, oral presentations and surgical videos in national and regional congresses.

Laparoscopic, oncological, minimally invasive and reconstructive urological surgery. New technologies (Prostate greenlight KTP laser, Holmium laser in urinary lithiasis and "Da Vinci" robot assisted laparoscopic surgery)
