Biography
Graduated in Medicine and Surgery by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Cadiz and Doctor in Psychiatry (2002). Specialist in Psychiatry at the University of Navarra Clinic. Clinical collaborator and Assistant Director of the Department of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology of the Clinic University of Navarra. Since 2009 he works in the Psychiatry Service of the Clinic at his headquarters in Madrid. Research Areas His research focuses on dysthymia and the depressive episode. Principal investigator of the "Study of cognitive impairment in short and long evolution depression. Evaluation of CNS volumetry by brain magnetic resonance, study of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis and production of cytokines ". PI11 / 00966 ACTIVITY As a teacher Associate Professor of Psychology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra. As researcher He has written more than 30 national and international scientific papers, as well as book chapters and monographs of his specialty, especially in relation to the biological bases of depression and clinical aspects of anxiety pictures. He has published the following books: "Anxiety, an enemy without a face" (Ed EUNSA, 2004); "Overcomes Stress and Anxiety" (Ed Everest, 2005); "To be happy without being perfect" (Ed EUNSA, 2010); and "Wounds in the heart" (RIALP, 2014). Author of three books on aspects related to anxiety and stress and numerous chapters of books and scientific articles mostly on the biological basis of depression and phobic disorders. His latest book is "Wounds in the Heart, The Healing Power of Forgiveness"
