Biography
Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Madrid. He specialized in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at the Hospital de la Pitié-Salpetriérè in Paris, France (1988-1993). Between 1993 and 1996, he held a Fellowship in the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at the University of Arizona (Tucson, USA), where he was chief resident during the 1994-1995 academic year. In this institution, in addition to his activity as a cardiovascular surgeon, he develops in a more intense way his knowledge in cardiac transplantation and circulatory assistance. He joined the University of Navarra Clinic in 1996. Fellow of the European Board of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons (FEBTS) since 2000. Responsible for the Cardiac Surgery Service and the cardiac transplant program of the University of Navarra Clinic. ACTIVITY As researcher He has published more than 100 articles in national and international magazines. He has participated in 21 chapters of books. He has presented more than 200 communications to congresses of the specialty.
Research Interest
