Biography

    Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Navarra. Extraordinary Prize of Degree and second Prize National End of Race of its promotion. PhD in Medicine from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, with the highest qualification. Specialist in Cardiology at the Puerta de Hierro Clinic in Madrid. Specialist in the Department of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery of the University of Navarra Clinic since 1995, where she has been Director of the Department of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery for 5 years. Research Areas   His areas of research are: Coronary disease (prevention, diagnosis and treatment). Vulnerable coronary plaque. He has directed research projects on: myocardial perfusion with SPECT in healthy volunteers, coronary resistance measured with PET in patients with heart failure, diabetic cardiomyopathy and characterization of the vulnerable plaque. ACTIVITY As a teacher She has been a professor at the University of Navarra since 1995. She has been accredited by ANECA on three occasions: Hired Professor Doctor in 2005, Full Professor in 2011 and Full Professor in 2012. She was appointed Professor of the University of Navarra in 2014. Appointed by the Ministry of Education and Science (years 2001 and 2005) President of the Cardiology Degree Homologation Committee to foreigners. He has taught doctorate courses at several universities: Autónoma de Madrid, Alcala de Henares, Cantabria, Palma de Mallorca, University of Navarra. As researcher It has 160 international and national scientific publications. He has written 3 books and collaborated in more than 60 books by other authors. He has given 109 lectures in and outside Spain (Portugal, France, England, Germany, Greece, Israel, Argentina, Congo). She reviews articles from numerous national and international magazines. He has received numerous awards, among which are: Elite Reviewer of the Spanish Journal of Cardiology (2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013), best research project, best work of the year, best communication of the European Congress of Cardiology.
