Biography

    Graduated in Biological Sciences by the University of Navarra (1990) with Extraordinary Prize and Bachelor in Pharmacy by the same University (1993). He is a doctor of science (1993). Pharmacist Specialist in Radiopharmacy (2000) and Biologist Specialist in Radiopharmacy (2005).   He has held stays at the National Institute of Mental Health in Bethesda, USA, Bereich Zyklotron und Radiopharmacie, Radiologische Klinick und Strahleninstitut at the University of Hamburg and UCLA in Los Angeles.   Director of the Radiopharmacy Unit and consultant of the Nuclear Medicine Service of the University of Navarra Clinic. Research Areas Principal investigator in 11 research projects financed with public funds in competitive calls, being responsible as principal investigator of the obtaining and management of more than € 3,850,000 in research funds both for the acquisition of equipment, construction of support units to the research, acquisition of consumables and recruitment of personnel. Collaborating researcher in 25 additional research projects, calls for proposals from the European Union, national, regional or private entities. Collaborating researcher in 8 clinical trials. He has received several research awards in congresses and projects of singular relevance Has participated in projects related to activities of technology transfer to the productive sector (Science and Technology Parks and CENIT Project). Research Interest

 Preparation and control of radiopharmaceuticals labeled with gamma isotope gammagraphy and beta / alpha for therapy, radioactive medical devices, marking of cellular elements of blood. Production of PET radionuclides in the cyclotron, and the production and quality control of positron emitting radiopharmaceuticals.
