Biography
Bachelor (1990) and Doctor (1999) with outstanding cum laude in Medicine and Surgery by the University of Navarra. Performed the specialty of Digestive Apparatus at the University of Navarra Clinic (1997). He has conducted training sessions in Paris - with Dr. Laurent Palazzo in diagnostic and therapeutic ecoendoscopy - and in Hamburg - with Dr. Nib Soehendra and Dr. Annette Fritscher-Ravens in endoscopic guided retrograde choledocopancreatography. Responsible for the Diagnostic and Therapeutic Digestive Digestive Section of the Digestive Service of the University of Navarra Clinic, one of the pioneering and reference teams in this technique in Spain. He has performed and / or supervised more than 8000 echoendoscopies, more than 1700 echoendoscopy guided punctures with a diagnostic performance superior to 90% and multiple complex interventional procedures. ACTIVITY As a teacher Associate Professor of the course Medical Pathology and continuing training courses for doctoral programs at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra. Participates in the training of resident physicians. He imparts training in endoscopy and, above all, in diagnostic and therapeutic ecoendoscopy to specialists in the digestive system of national and foreign origin. As researcher He has been member or president of the organizing committee of several courses and workshops dedicated to endoscopy, ultrasound and ecoendoscopy both national and international. He has given more than 60 lectures and lectures in various courses and congresses. He has acted as an expert in various training workshops in ecoendoscopy both nationally and abroad. He has published 9 chapters in books and more than 50 articles in national and international scientific journals.
