Bachelor of Science (1978), Bachelor of Medicine (1986) and Doctor of Science (1982) by the University of Navarra. Specialist in Clinical Biochemistry and Clinical Analysis. Master in Management and Management of Clinical Laboratories by the University of Barcelona (2000). Resident Tutor (1988-1998) and Director (1998-2014) of the Biochemistry Service of the University of Navarra Clinic. Research Areas He has developed his lines of research in the following areas: Molecular mechanisms of the differentiation and activation of monocytes in autoimmunity. CICYT. Effects of restrictive bariatric surgery on leptin levels and hormonal desensitization in patients with morbid obesity. Characterization of biochemical and genetic markers of bone mineral density in pediatric patients with bone tumors. Leptin participation in hepatic regeneration after partial hepatectomy. Interactions in the cascade of cytokine-mediated signaling. Diagnostic ability of the biochemical analysis of oligoclonal bands in neurological diseases. As a teacher Professor of Biochemistry, accredited by ANECA. Associate Professor of the University of Navarra. At present, Professor responsible for Biochemistry, in the Degree in Nursing. He has published five books on this subject. He has directed 12 Doctoral Theses. As researcher He is co-author of 46 articles in national and international magazines of the specialty. He has presented more than 50 communications to national and international congresses.
