Biography
Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1992). Specialist in Medical Oncology from the University of Navarra Clinic (1997) and Doctor of Medicine from the University of Navarra (2004). Specialist of the Oncology Department of the University Clinic of Navarra and Head of the Oncology Hospitalization Unit. Research Areas Ha participado como investigador principal en 15 ensayos clínicos con nuevos fármacos para el tratamiento del cáncer y como investigador colaborador en más de 30. Member of the team in more than 20 research projects funded by different public entities (Instituto de Salud Carlos III, Government of Navarra) and private (Spanish Society of Medical Oncology, Mutua Madrileña). ACTIVITY As a teacher Accredited by the National Agency of Evaluation and Accreditation (ANECA) as full professor (2011) and positive evaluation of two sexennial research. Professor of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra, being responsible for the subject "Oncology" and the subject "Clinical Practice 3" of the medical degree. He also teaches in the subjects "Preclinical" and "Respiratory Apparatus", in the Course of Specialization in Oncology Nursing and in the Master of Bioethics. As researcher Author of 9 book chapters and 40 publications in specialized magazines. He has made 50 communications to national and international congresses of the specialty.
Research Interest
Clinical development of new cancer treatments (clinical trials). Immunological cancer treatment. Mechanisms of resistance to oncological treatments. Treatment of small cell lung cancer and head and neck tumors.
