 Licentiate (1982) and Doctor (1986) in Medicine and Surgery by the University of Valladolid. Specialist in Family and Community Medicine by the University of Valladolid (1985). Diploma in Health (1987). Specialist in Internal Medicine by the University of Navarra Clinic (1997). Postgraduate in Pulmonary Techniques and Pulmonary Transplantation at the Center Hospitalier Universitaire de Bordeaux (1996).
