Biography

    Licenciada (1990) and Doctor (1998) in Pharmacy by the University of Navarra. Specialist in Clinical Biochemistry (FIR) by the University Clinic of Navarra (1996). Diploma in Health by the National School of Health (1997). Supervisor of Radioactive Installation by the Nuclear Safety Council (2012)   Specialist of the Laboratory of Biochemistry of the University of Navarra Clinic. Research Areas His lines of research have been developed in the following areas: Study of the influence of osteopontin on the development of obesity and its comorbidities. Evaluation of the cholesterol oxides analysis as biomarkers in the stratification of cardiovascular risk. Neuropsychological and biochemical study in patients with cognitive disorders and associated depression. Study of HLA-G and nitric oxide during pregnancy and its usefulness as a marker of pathology. Study of immunological tolerance factors in blood in cancer patients. Indolamine 2,3 dioxigenase and inducible nitric oxide synthase activity in the cells and their implication in immunological tolerance. Leptin participation in hepatic regeneration after partial hepatectomy. Interactions in the cascade of cytokine-mediated signaling. Development of a methodological procedure for the study of mitochondrial function using stable isotopes. Activation of monocytes in autoimmune disease. Molecular mechanisms of the differentiation and activation of monocytes in autoimmunity.   As a teacher Professor contracted doctor ad honorem in the Department of Biochemistry and Genetics of the Faculty of Sciences. Accredited by ANECA as a contracted professor doctor and professor of private university (2011).   Professor responsible for the subject Biochemistry Clinic in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra. He teaches master's degrees in the Faculties of Medicine and Sciences. As researcher He has collaborated in 17 research projects.  He has participated in the elaboration of 12 books of the specialty, 21 articles in scientific journals and has presented / displayed 67 communications to national and international congresses.  He has participated as a speaker in 14 courses and congresses of the specialty.
