Mª Luz Mediano Cortés

Biography

    Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Madrid in 1980. Specialist in Psychiatry since 1996. She has a PhD in Medicine from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 1995.   He has been a Faculty of the Special Emergency Service, National Health Institute of Madrid, in 1981-82 and Specialist in Psychiatry (Acute Unit, Hospitalization and External Consultation), Psychiatric Clinic Nª Sra. De la Paz in Madrid, in the years 1996-2000. Faculty Specialist in Psychiatry, Unit of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology, Salvia Clinic of Madrid in the years 2002-05. Collaborator of the Psychiatry Service, Clínica Universidad de Navarra, headquarters of Madrid, from 2005 to the present. Research Areas Diagnosis and epidemiology of childhood depression in Spanish school population. ACTIVITY   As a teacher Address and organization of the Salvia Clinical Neuroscience Forum (2000-2001). Seminars of Medical Training, Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Madrid (2003). Professor at the Special Course on "Specialization in Forensic Psychiatry" at the School of Legal Practice of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2010-2012). As researcher Regular participant in the National Congresses of Psychiatry. Conferences at the III Ibero-American Congress of Psychiatry and Mental Health. Assistance and participation in the World Congresses of Psychiatry. Assistance to National Congresses of Legal Psychiatry. Assistance and participation in congresses, conferences and meetings of the Spanish Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Articles in national magazines and papers on Child Depression.
