Biography
Graduate (1976) in Biological Sciences and PhD in Microbiology and Parasitology (1981) by the University of Navarra. He performed the specialty in the Clinical Microbiology Service of the University of Navarra Clinic. He completed his training in the Department of Parasitology at the University Claude Bernard de Lyon (France, 1981-1982) and in the Mycology Laboratory of the Prince Léopold Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp (Belgium), where he specialized in "Human Mycology (1982). He has also held stays at the Iberian Institute of López-Neyra Parasitology in Granada, in the Microbiology Service (Virology) of the Hospital Vall d'Hebron in Barcelona and in the Unité des Rickettssies of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Marseille. Deputy Director of the Clinical Microbiology Service of the University of Navarra Clinic. Responsible for the Sections of Infectious Serology, Mycology and Parasitology. Research Areas He has collaborated in numerous research projects in different areas of Microbiology. ACTIVITY As a teacher Professor contracted doctor and professor of private university accredited by the ANECA. He teaches the subject of Microbiology in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra. As researcher He has participated in more than 70 papers / papers at national / international congresses and has produced more than 40 publications in books (14) and national / international journals.
Research Interest
Microbiological diagnosis and study of human parasitic mycoses and diseases and the serological diagnosis of infectious diseases.
