Matías Jurado Chacón

Biography

    Graduate (1974) and Doctor (1980) in Medicine at the University of Granada. He completed the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University Clinical Hospital of the University of Granada (1978). He has conducted training stays in several centers of international prestige: Rush Medical College (Chicago), Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (New York), Mayo Clinic Scottsdale (Arizona) USA, and Charité-Mitte / Benjamin Franklin (Berlin). Research Areas Quimioradioterapia en cáncer ginecológico. Intraoperative radiation therapy in gynecological cancer. Ultrarradical surgery in gynecological cancer.     Professor of the University of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1983 and professor of the University of Navarra since 1991.   Accredited Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology by the National Academic Quality Assessment Agency (ANECA). As researcher Author of a dozen chapters in national and international reference books on Gynecology Oncology.   He has more than 50 publications in international scientific journals and 40 in national journals.    

Research Interest

 Surgery for maximum effort in ovarian cancer. Ultrarradical surgery (pelvic exenteration and others) in the relapse of gynecological cancer. Minimally invasive surgery in benign pathology and gynecological cancer.
