Biography
He holds a postdoctoral post as a Radiation Oncology Fellow at The Ohio State University, United States (1996-1998), and later was promoted to Visiting Assistant Professor (1998-1999). He returned to the Clínica Universidad de Navarra in 1999, where he has been running the Radiation Oncology Service since 2001. Research Areas In the Clinic he directed the implementation of the Unit of Brachytherapy (2000) where have been treated until 2010 more than 2000 patients. It is worth mentioning the intramural development of the technique of Perioperative Brachytherapy of High Dosage Rate in collaboration with several surgical departments, especially in the areas of head and neck, sarcomas and gynecology. ACTIVITY As a teacher He was credited as a professor contracted doctor by ANECA (2005), as titular professor via National Habilitation (2007) and as Professor of University in 2010. As researcher Author of more than 80 scientific publications indexed. He has also participated as a guest speaker on more than 50 PhD programs, scientific courses and symposia and has been distinguished with a Resident Award from the American Brachytherapy Society (ABS, 1998) and a Roentgen Fellow Award from the Radiological Society of NorthAmerica , 1998), as well as two awards from the Spanish Society of Radiation Oncology (SEOR, 2001 and 2007). He is a member of several editorial committees of international journals on Oncology and associate editor of the journal Brachytherapy, official journal of the American Brachytherapy Society.
