Biography
Licenciada (1980) and doctor (1987) in Medicine and Surgery by the University of Navarra. He completed his training at the University of Manchester as Senior Research at the Department of Cell and Structural Biology (1988-89). She has been honored with several awards for her research in the study of Parkinson's disease, including the first prize of the American Academy of Neurology for Best Young Investigator in 1990, the National Parkinson's Disease Research Award City of Zamora November 2004) and the I and VII Prize for Research in Parkinson's Disease. Director of the Department of Neurology at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra. It specializes in the care of patients with Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders. Research Areas She develops her research work as director of the CIMA Regenerative Therapy Laboratory. As a teacher She is accredited by ANECA as professor of Neurology. He teaches at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra and has been a visiting professor at the University of Michigan (United States). He has directed 12 doctoral theses and 6 research dissertations. As researcher She is the author of more than 150 scientific papers and editor of 4 books on movement disorders and Parkinson's disease.
