Biography
Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of the Basque Country (1987). PhD in Medicine from the University of Navarra (1999). She has been in the Intensive Care Post-Operative Unit of the Presbyterian University Hospital (January-February 1997); in the Cancer Pain Management section of the Department of Anesthesiology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston (Texas, July-August 2002), and in the Pain Medicine section of Methodist Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas 2002). Since 1994, specialist in the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra. It is part of the Pain Unit since 2015. European Diploma of Anesthesia and Intensive Care EDAIC (2015). Research Areas His research activity has focused on postoperative analgesia, specifically on the role of calcium and magnesium antagonists. ACTIVITY As a teacher Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra. He has given advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation seminars to 6th grade students and intravenous infusion system seminars in the simulation classroom of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra. As researcher He has presented 20 communications and posters to national and international congresses. He has collaborated in the publication of 7 articles in specialized scientific journals. He has written the chapter Treatment of Pain in the Child with Cancer in the book Pediatric Oncology (2006).
