Biography
Graduated from the University of Cádiz (1981), Doctor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Navarra (1985) and Specialist in Medical Oncology (1991). From 1993 to 1995 he was Fellow of the Department of Hematology-Oncology, University of Nebraska. Medical Center, Omaha (USA). In the year 1995 he joined the Clinic. He has been Assistant to the Medical Director between the years 1998 and 2001 and President of the Commission of Teaching in the Clinic University of Navarra between the years 2006 and 2011. Research Areas He has participated in 48 research projects, being Principal Investigator in 43 of them. As a teacher Professor contracted doctor of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra on October 1, 2005. On January 13, 2014, he was accredited as a Full Professor by the ANECA. He has taught 3 different subjects in the Medicine Degree and 5 Doctorate Courses, in addition to collaborating as a Professor in the Nursing Oncology Program (2005-2012), in the Master's Degree in Biomedical Research and in the Course of Cellular and Molecular Biology of Cancer . He has directed 4 doctoral theses and 2 dissertations. As researcher He has published 90 publications in indexed journals, of which 29 are included in the first tertile and 46 have been published in the last 10 years. He has also published 23 articles in non-indexed but recognized journals, and is the author of 2 complete books and 2 book chapters. He has presented 128 communications in congresses, has been 11 times member of the Scientific Committee and has participated in the organization of 13 congresses. He has also given 45 lectures and seminars.
Research Interest
His main areas of interest are: melanoma and sarcomas of unknown origin.
