Research Areas Research lines: intraoperative magnetic resonance surgery, 5-ALA fluorescence surgery, oncolytic virus treatment and immunotherapy.    In recent years, research projects have focused on finding new treatments for malignant glial tumors of the central nervous system based mainly on immunotherapy: oncolytic virus, dendritic cell vaccines and, currently, immunomodulatory treatment. In addition to trying to improve the surgery of these tumors by the use of fluorescence with 5-ALA and the application of intraoperative resonance to improve resection of brain and spinal tumors.    She has participated in 5 research projects, in 3 of them as principal investigator: "Phase I study of the combination of DNX-2401 oncolytic virus with a short course of temozolomide in the treatment of patients with first glioblastoma relapse . " EudraCT Number: 2011-005935-21. Promoter: Clinical University of Navarra. Principal investigator. Started in September 2013. Principal investigator: Dr. Javier Arbizu Lostao. "Study of fluorescence emitted by tumor cells and normal after administration of 5-aminolevulinic acid: experimental bases of a possible application to grade II and III gliomas .  "  Principal investigator. It ended in 2012. "Retrospective observational study on the effectiveness of gliolan in the treatment of malignant gliomas in Spain" (Estudio Visiona) . Promoted and financed by laboratories Gebro.
