Biography
Graduate (1979) and Doctor (1989) in Medicine by the University of Santander. European Board of Thoracic Surgery (1997). Specialist in Thoracic Surgery at the Hospital Marqués de Valdecilla (Santander, 1979-1984). He has held stays in different departments of thoracic surgery of hospitals in France and the United States. Research Areas Experimental evaluation of the use of PG E1 in prolonged lung preservation. Development of new technologies for the detection of markers in sputum and bronchial lavage in protocols for the early detection of lung cancer. Use of molecular biomarkers in the early detection of lung cancer. Identification and validation of genes involved in the metastasis of childhood osteosarcoma and its tropism to the lung. ACTIVITY As a teacher Since 1996 he has been an Associate Professor of Surgical Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra. As researcher He has made 40 publications in international journals and 30 in national journals. He has given more than 100 communications to congresses.
