Sanjeev Sood

Biography

 Sanjeev Sood is President, South East Asia and Far East, and is based at the company’s regional head office in Bangkok, Thailand. In his role, Mr. Sood provides leadership for Birla Carbon’s South East Asia and Far East, which includes operations in Korea and China, in addition to Thailand. He is also the Director for Aditya Birla Chemicals in Thailand and the Country Head (Group Affairs) for Aditya Birla Group in Thailand. Mr. Sood joined the carbon black business in 2006 as the Unit Head and Country Manager for China. He subsequently took over the leadership position in 2009 as the President and Director of the Board at Thai Carbon Black Public Co. Ltd. He was COO overseas during 2010 and 2011 and then became Regional President for the Far East and South East region from 2012 onwards. He has over 34 years of experience in the tire and carbon black industry across companies such as Continental Tires, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., and in countries such as India, China, Brazil, Korea, Thailand, etc.

Research Interest

 Mr. Sood holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. His academic profile includes advanced programs in International Economics and Finance from the University of Tennessee, the Manufacturing Strategy & Technology program from Penn State University, and an Advanced Leadership Program from the University of Virginia.
