Biography
"Alejandro Luque is posdoctoral researcher at the Instituto de Ciencias Matemáticas - ICMAT. His area of research is Dynamical Systems, with special attention to Hamiltonian systems. He works in the characterization of stabilities and instabilities using analytic, geometric and numerical methods. He got his phD at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2010. He have developed, in collaboration with J.-Ll. Figueras and À. Haro, a general methodology to apply the KAM theorem using computer-assisted analysis. Jointly with D. Peralta-Salas (also at ICMAT) he has recently proved that the ABC magnetic field produces unstable motion (Arnold diffusion) using the mechanism of a-priori unstable systems."
Research Interest
Dynamical systems, KAM theory, a-posteriori methods, computer-assisted proofs.
