Biography
"Antonio Gómez-Corral received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Complutense University of Madrid in 1996, and he holds a position of Associate Professor at the School of Mathematics, Complutense University of Madrid, since 1998. At the present, he is acting as Head of Department (Applied Mathematics) at the ICMAT. His main areas of research are focused on stochastic models and mathematical biology, two areas where he has published more than fifty papers in scientific journals. Jointly with Jesús R. Artalejo, he is a coauthor of the book “Retrial Queueing Systems: A Computational Approach”, Springer-Verlag, Berlin, 2008. In the editorial vineyard, he serves as associate editor of Asia-Pacific Journal of Operational Research, RAIRO-Operations Research and Top, as well as a subject editor of Applied Mathematical Modelling, among others. He has been a guest editor of the European Journal of Operational Research (2008, Volume 189, Issue 3) and The Annals of Operations Research (2016, Volume 247, Issue 1)."
