Biography
Scientific Researcher at the Institute of Materials Science in Madrid at the Higher Council for Scientific Research (ICMM / CSIC) since 2008. Her research activities are focused on nanotechnology, in particular on the synthesis and characterization of magnetic nanoparticles for Biomedical applications, both in diagnosis and in therapy. She is the author of 7 chapters of books, 3 patents, 185 scientific articles with 7500 citations (h = 43) and has directed 3 doctoral theses. She has been a CSIC researcher responsible for two European research projects, one for the development of nanoparticles for the detection and treatment of breast and pancreatic cancer (Multifun 2011-2015) and another for the development of standardization and standardization methods for nanoparticles for biomedical applications (NanoMag 2013-2017).
