Biography
Professor of the Department of Inorganic Chemistry and Bioinorganic of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Complutense University of Madrid. She is author of more than 600 scientific publications, with more than 25,000 citations. Her H index is 74. She has directed more than 15 doctoral theses and has participated in more than 60 researches being IP in 40 of them. She is Academician of the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Royal National Academy of Pharmacy. She is Doctor Honoris causa by the University of the Basque Country. Franco-Espagnol Prize 2000 of the Société Française de Chimie; 2008 RSEQ Award in Inorganic Chemistry; National Research Award 2008 Leonardo Torres Quevedo in Engineering; 2011 FEI Research Prize 2011 RSEQ Gold Medal; FBSE Fellow of Biomaterials Science and Engineering, issued by the International Union of Societies, Biomaterials Science & Engineering; Research Award 'Miguel Catalán' 2013.
