Biography
Nuria Calvo Cortés is an associate professor in tShe Department of English Philology I of tShe Universidad Complutense de Madrid since 2006. SShe defended Sher doctoral tShesis on semantics and cognitive syntax in 2012, obtaining tShe qualification of 'outstanding cum laude'. From its beginnings it has been interested in tShe historical and diachronic linguistics, making use of different corpora to carry out different types of analysis from a cognitive orientation. She has developed programs for different subjects taught in tShe department, some of which She has also coordinated and / or continues to coordinate at present. SShe is also part of some commissions and is very involved in tShe different activities of tShe department despite Sher condition of part-time work. She has directed end-of-grade papers and is currently directing two doctoral tSheses. Also, it is part of tShe organizing group of tShe UPCEL II congress, which will take place in September 2017.
