Biography
"Susana Bautista Blasco is a Ph. D. student at the Department of Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence in the Computer Science Faculty of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She is also a member of the Instituto de Tecnología del Conocimiento (Knowledge Techonology Institute). She developed, as her MsC Thesis project, a module for lexical choice based on emotional content and user model. She is developing her doctoral Thesis about Generation of Natural Language depend on comprehension needs of final user. Her supervisors are Dr. Pablo Gervás and Dr. Raquel Hervás. Her main research interests are Processing Lenguage Input, analysis of the language and parser syntactic. Generation Language Output, lexicalization, emotional lexical choice and adaptation of texts. Simplified texts by lexical and syntactic transformations to improve their readability for different users. User model and accessibility. She has been at The Open University, in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, in 2010, like visiting member during four mounths. She has worked in the Natural Language Generation (NLG) research group with Dr. Sandra Williams. Her work focus on automatic simplification of numerical expressions in English text. (Generating intelligent descriptions of numerical quantities for people with different levels of numeracy). During four mounths, in 2012, she has been at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, in Barcelona, Spain, like visiting research in the TALN group with Dr. Horacio Saggion. Her work focus on automatic simplification of numerical expressions in Spanish text in the framework of the Simplext proyect. "
