Biography
"I was born in Madrid in 1983. From 2001 to 2006 I studied a bachelor's degree in Mathematics at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) and, in 2007, I got a Master's degree in Mathematical Research at UCM. In 2009 I obtained a JAE-Predoc scholarship awarded by CSIC to pursue a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics at the Instituto de Ciencias Matemáticas (ICMAT), which I finished in December 2013. My thesis studied numerically how different forces influence the evolution of fluid droplets. In particular, my work analyzed how rotation modifies the amount of charge that a conducting and viscous drop can sustain before becoming unstable. Since May 2014, I am a Severo-Ochoa Postdoctoral Researcher at ICMAT associated to the ""Stephen Wiggins Laboratory"". My work deals with the applications of dynamical systems techniques to the description of transport in geophysical flows. My field of research and interests relate to Fluid Mechanics and the implementation of reliable and efficient computer algorithms to solve complex problems that arise in real applications."
