Luis Escauriaza .

Biography

Luis has been the Director of the Private Office of the Minister for Economic Affairs, and General Manager of Small and Medium Businesses in the Industry and Energy Department. As Executive Chair of the Banco de Crédito Industrial he took part in the financing process for the industrial restructuring in Spain and in the promotion of business initiatives approaching re-industrialisation. He has been responsible for the department of Banca de Inversiones of the Grupo Argentaria as Executive Chair of the Banco Exterior Internacional and the Banco de Negocios Argentaria. Following the merger of Argentaria with BBV, he went on to become the Managing Director of Banco de Crédito Local, subsidiary of the BBVA. He has also been member of other Board of Directors such as Banco Hipotecario de España, Fuerzas Eléctricas de Cataluña (FECSA), Banco Internacional de Andorra, VICASA (Grupo Cristalería Española). He has been Director General of the Fundación Fernando Abril Martorell and is a member of the Management Committee of the Information Society. He is currently Director of Banco de Crédito Local and Chair of its Auditing Committee, as well as independent advisor in several companies.
