Biography
Michael Hartmann (Austrian) holds a PhD in Chemistry from the Vienna University of Technology. Prior to joining DSM and subsequently DSM Sinochem Pharmaceuticals (DSP), Michael was a senior research fellow and group leader at Hafslund-Nycomed in Norway and Head of Development Chemistry at Nycomed Pharma in Austria and looks back at a rich career in R&D. Michael joined DSM in 1997 as R&D Site Director for DSM Fine Chemicals in Austria, after which he was appointed Vice President Operations (site) Manager DSM Pharma Chemicals Linz. In 2006 he was appointed Senior Vice President Marketing & Sales and shortly after Head of New Business Development. In 2011, Michael joined DSP in the Netherlands as Director New Business Development, globally responsible for all new business initiatives globally in APIs and Drug Products. In 2014 Michael was appointed Director of the new Business Unit Drug Products, responsible for DSP’s fast growing Drug Product
