Biography
Joseph Farmer has served as our Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary since March 2015. Prior to joining TESARO, Mr. Farmer served as Chief Corporate Counsel at Cubist Pharmaceuticals from November 2012 to February 2015, and as Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel and Secretary of AMAG Pharmaceuticals from February 2005 to June 2012. He has extensive experience in the areas of corporate governance, securities law, mergers & acquisitions, licensing transactions, intellectual property protection and compliance. He began his legal career in the Business Practice Group of the Boston law firm of Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault. Mr. Farmer received bachelor's degree in economics from Boston University and his law degree from Boston College Law School. He currently serves on the board of directors for Steward Carney Hospital in Dorchester, MA.
