Biography
Mathematician. He leads the bioinformatics software development and cloud computing department. He has developed an intense research activity working in algorithm design and in the design and development of cloud-based architectures. He is an expert in cloud, parallelization, graph databases and advanced programming languages as Scala. His research interests are algorithms for sequence analysis and category theory in systems biology. He is now very interested in new mathematical approaches for new algorithms dealing with massive sequences data from Next Generation Sequencing. He is leading open source research projects in this area at Era7 Bioinformatics.
