José Luís Muñiz Álvarez

Biography

 José Luis Muñiz Álvarez was born in Oviedo (Asturias) in 1950. He is an Industrial Engineer, specialized in Chemistry (1973) and Bachelor in Economics and Business Sciences, Business section (1985). He held the position of project engineer at Total Aquitaine Explosives (1973-1975) and was attached to the project manager and director of the third line of low density polyethylene manufacturing. In Explosives Rio Tinto was head of the engineering office (1978-1982), head of the engineering department of the Tarragona factory (1983-1985) and director of the Tarragona factory (1985-1990). He was director of the work centers of Rhodiamul and Erkol (1991-1992), Erkimia Tarragona and Guardo (1991-1993), Erkol general manager (1992-1995) and ERFEI manager (1993-1996).

Research Interest

 Since 1996 he has been successively Vice-President of Erkimia (former subsidiary of the Ercros Group), Deputy General Manager of Ercros and CEO of Ercros. In 2002, he was appointed Corporate General Manager and Business Development Manager of Ercros and in 2005, General Manager of Business.
