Lourdes Vega Fernández

Biography

 She was born in Villanueva del Fresno (Badajoz) in 1965 and holds a PhD in Physical Sciences from the University of Seville, founder of Alya Technology & Innovation and a professor at the Gas Research Center of the Abu Dhabi Petroleum Institute. Among others, it has performed the following functions: In the business field, she has been director general of Matgas, a strategic alliance between Air Products, the Higher Council of Scientific Research and the Autonomous University of Barcelona; global director of technology for that group and director of R & D of the subsidiary Carburos Metálicos. In the area of ​​R & D, it has been the global coordinator of three joint research projects: Cenit Sost-CO2, the European H2 Trust project and the BioQuim_recue project, and has led the CO2 the Spanish Technological Platform of CO2. In the academic field, she has been vice-director of external and international affairs of the Technical School of Chemical Engineering of the Rovira and Virgili University of Tarragona. In the USA, he has been a postdoctoral associate of the School of Chemical Engineering at Cornell University and visiting scholar of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Southern California.
