Biography
With an impressive resume that includes over 20 years of experience in market entry and establishment across three continents, Dr. Albert Vahlhaus has acquired a global perspective, varied experience and professional insight. Dr. Vahlhaus completed his bachelor’s degree in international management from California State University. After three years of experience in North Carolina, Dr. Vahlhaus moved on to study an MBA program at IESE in Barcelona, Spain. In this exciting post-Olympics environment, Dr. Vahlhaus forged a connection with Barcelona and the Spanish language, before graduating in 1994. Equipped with his MBA, Dr. Vahlhaus returned to Germany and began to rise through the ranks of the TREFFERT GROUP, eventually becoming CEO. Following the planned sale of the TREFFERT GROUP to FLH AG, and in 2004 Dr. Vahlhaus joined FLH’s Group Executive Management team, playing an active role in restructuring and IPO on the SIX Swiss Exchange in 2008. Dr. Vahlhaus implemented a mutually agreed succession plan and completed his DBA at IE Business School in July 2013 with a dissertation on human capital development.
