Biography
Equipped with a strong educational background, professional experience in a variety of organizations and years of teaching experience, Dr. Neus Vila-Brunet is known both for her work in regional development, and for her systemic approach to further exploring organizational behavior, leadership and entrepreneurship. Dr. Vila-Brunet earned her BBA in 2005 from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and used this opportunity to develop her international experience by studying abroad at the University of California Santa Barbara. Next, Dr. Vila-Brunet went on to graduate summa cum laude in the first of her two master degrees at the University of Barcelona, where she studied globalization, development and cooperation, followed by international comparative rural policies studies. The process of earning her PhD has further exposed Dr. Vila-Brunet to academia, where she has prospered and published multiple articles, book chapters, technical reports and educational materials. Her experience in a large variety of sectors is a valuable asset, and has seen her work with General Motors, the Catalonian government, an NGO called Debt Watch and Spanish bank BBVA.
