Biography
Marc van Heyningen is Vice President, Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE), responsible for driving consistent implementation of Fluor’s HSE programs and strategies. Mr. van Heyningen oversees all business line and regional HSE operations. In addition, Mr. van Heyningen directs activities company-wide for Fluor’s Lean Process Toward 2020 initiative. Mr. van Heyningen has been with Fluor for 27 years and has extensive experience in engineering, project management, construction and general management for a wide range of projects in the engineering, procurement and construction industry in various international locations. He previously served as Vice President and General Manager of the Fluor Amsterdam office in the Netherlands, responsible for Fluor’s Energy & Chemicals business operations. He also served as the Managing Director for Fluor in the Netherlands. Prior to that assignment, he was the Executive Director of Project Operations in Fluor’s Camberley office in the UK, where he was responsible for proposals, project management, project controls, estimating and contracts management. Mr. van Heyningen has also served as Managing Director for Fluor GmbH, as a member of the Fluor S.A. board in Spain, and as a board member for Infraspeed BV and Infraspeed Maintenance BV, which are involved in the Netherlands’ high speed rail infrastructure. Since joining the company in 1990 as a structural engineer, Mr. van Heyningen has held a variety of roles in engineering and project management on a number of Upstream, Downstream and Chemicals projects. He also served as Managing Director of Fluor’s New Delhi office in India and was Senior Director Operations in Fluor’s Office of the Chairman, where he was responsible for various management assignments.
