Pierre Bechelany

Biography

Pierre Bechelany is the president of Fluor’s Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) & Pipelines business. He is responsible for global business efforts in the pipeline, LNG and LNG re-gasification markets. Mr. Bechelany joined Fluor in 2010. He has more than 27 years of upstream oil and gas experience in various fields including LNG, pipeline and compression facility, gas processing, enhanced oil recovery and full field development projects. Prior to his current role, Mr. Bechelany served as senior vice president of LNG & Pipelines, responsible for implementing and executing the business line strategy, directing the preparation of operating budgets, selecting high performing leaders and monitoring their performance on projects. He maintained relationships with key customers through sale, delivery and successful handover of the projects. Mr. Bechelany was previously vice president of operations for the upstream business line. In this role, he was responsible for managing upstream projects in the Middle East and Africa regions. Prior to joining Fluor, Mr. Bechelany was a principal vice president of privately held Bechtel Corporation and general manager of the Pipeline and Field Development business line. During his tenure at Bechtel, Mr. Bechelany served in a variety of senior roles and was a managing director of several corporate entities in the United States, France and Algeria.
