Biography
Maia Güell is Professor of Economics at the University of Edinburgh. Maia is also an Associate Researcher at the CEPR, the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) and the Center for Economic Performance (LSE). He is a member of the elected executive committee of the European Association of Labor Economists. Maia received a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics and a post-doctoral student at Princeton University. His research focuses on labor economics, including incentives around Labor Market Institutions and their consequences, motivation plans for workers, gender differences in the labor market and the measurement of intergenerational mobility.
