Jorge Carpizo Macgregor †

Biography

  Law Degree from the UNAM. Emeritus researcher of the UNAM, Dean of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (1985-1989), member of the Instituto de Investigaciones Jurídicas where he acted as Director. Visiting professor in the following Universities: Complutense, Antwerp and Havana. National Emeritus Investigator of the National System of Investigators (SNI) Level III. Chairman of the Executive Board of the Union of Universidades de América Latina. Chairman of the Instituto Iberoamericano de Derecho Constitucional. He held the positions of Minister of Justice of the Supreme Court of Justice of Mexico, founding President of the National Human Rights Commission, Attorney General of the Republic, Secretary of the Interior and Mexican Ambassador in France.
