Biography
With a doctorate in Microbiology and Molecular Biology, MBA, MSc, Aguirre is currently the Director of Healthcare Innovation and Research in the Department of Health of the Basque Government. She was responsible for the design of the BioBasque Strategy 2010 for the development of biosciences in the Basque Country. She headed up the BioBasque Agency, which was responsible for implementing the strategy, for 10 years and is also a representative of the Basque Bioregion.
