B.Sc. 1965 (University of Barcelona , Faculty of Pharmacy). Ph.D. 1971 ( Director rof. M.Font-Altaba),( University of Barcelona , Faculty of Sciences). Chercheur Libre (1971-1973) with Prof. Van Meersche and Dr. Gabriel Germain  (University of Leuven). Associate Professor (1974) (Barcelona University . Cristallography Department). Research of the CSIC (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas ) (1975- 1986). Responsible of " Materials Unit" of the Institute of Geology "Jaume Almera"of the CSIC in Barcelona (1980 -1986). Full Prof. of Research at the CSIC (1986-2012). Coordinator of the CSIC in Catalonia(1986-1992). Director and Founder of Materials Science Institute of Barcelona ICMAB of the CSIC.(1986-2008). President of the Spanish Crystallographic Commitee and representant in the International Union of Crystallography (Since 1985) Member of the Governing Board of the CSIC (1993-1997) Vice-Director and Director of the "Laboratoire Europeen Associe des Sciences et Genie des Materiaux et Procedes" (CSIC-CNRS, 1995-2001). Vice-director  and Founder  of "MATGAS" (Air Producs - CSIC - UAB ).(2001-2008) Member of Advisory group (AEG) for priority 3 (EC FP6 ) and for NMP (EC FP7) (2002-2007).   Director of the " Eduardo Torroja " Institute of the Construccion Sciences and Cement  in Madrid (IETcc-CSIC) (2008-2010). Ad-Honorem Full Prof. of Research at the ICMAB of the CSIC (Since 2012). Permanent President of Organizing Committee of "EXPOMINER"  (Since 2016).

Industrial Applications of Nanomaterials and Compounds. Aperiodic Crystals. Polymorphysm in molecular crystals and pharmacological applications.  Crystal grow and Applicatons in Supercritical Fluids. Structure-Property Relations. Surface Crystallography.
