Biography
Ana Encinas Rodríguez got her Bachelor of Laws from Universidad de Salamanca (ES, 1999). Between 2002 and 2012 she practiced law at the firm Uría Menéndez specializing in EU and Competition Law. In addition, from February to July 2007, she practiced law at the Competition Law department of the German law firm Hengeler Mueller (Düsseldorf). Her legal practice has focused on the different fields of EU law and competition law (mergers, restrictive practices, freedoms of movement…). She lectures EU and Spanish competition law at the LL.M of the IE Law School, as well as in other academic and public institutions and bodies (among others, the Diplomatic School, in the framework of the Courses on the European Union organized annually by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation).
