Biography
Dr. Peyró earned her Ph.D. in International Law from Université de Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (FR), where she started her professional career as a research fellow. Her thesis was awarded with the Suzanne Bastid Prize of the French Society for International Law. After her PhD, she was appointed as a Global Crystal Eastman Research Fellow at New York University School of Law (USA). As an Academic, she later worked as a Full Tenured Professor of Public Law, Université de Cergy-Pontoise and as an Adjunct Professor of International Law, Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (‘Sciences-Po’, FR), Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (SP). She is currently a Ramón y Cajal Senior Researcher (SP). She has lectured and researched in many countries and prestigious international research centers, published books and articles with the most important editors and obtained distinctions and grants for her work. Her research focuses on International Law and International Organizations. As a Legal Adviser, Ana Peyró served as Senior Adviser at the Cabinet of the Secretary of State for Justice (SP) and she has been working as an International Consultant for many Governments and International Institutions. She is fluent in Spanish, French, English, and Italian.
